Posting Bond

OVERVIEW

Please contact the jail if you are not sure the type of bond the defendant was given by the Magistrate.  Cash and Personal bonds must be paid at the Kleberg County Sheriff's Office.  Surety Bond arrangements must be made with an Approved Bonding Company below.

Cash Bonds are the full amount of the bond posted by Money Order only. All Money Orders should be made payable to the "Kleberg County". No cash, traveler's checks or personal checks are accepted. You must have a valid ID.

Personal Bonds are 3% of the full amount of the bond posted by Money Order only. All Money Orders should be made payable to the "CSCD". No cash, traveler's checks or personal checks are accepted. You must have a valid ID.

A Surety Bond is defined as a contract among parties. The principal will pay a premium to a Bail Bond Company in exchange for the bonding company's financial strength to extend surety credit.
